I realised I've been posting less and less these days. Haha. I guess it's because I've been busier since school started. Excuses, I know. But one thing for sure is that I've been updating on Twitter more often than ever since I started using BB. Lol. So yeah, if you wanna know more about what's happening in my life nowadays, you should probably follow me on Twitter and get sms notifications or something. Cause I update it on the go. Haha.
Hmm you know apart from that guy from Swiss Cottage, there is also a guy from my church in Singapore (St Mary Of The Angels). Well I didn't know his name and he didn't know mine but I used to see him like every Sunday at St Clare's Hall although he's in a different group. Umm now I forgot his name but I remember that he was from Hwa Chong. Really a small world we live in yeah? Then I also met this guy called Myles from St Joseph (SJI) and a girl from Serangoon JC (she dropped out of JC and moved here).
There are a whole load of Malaysians. Sabah, Sarawak, Kota Kinabalu, Ipoh, Johor, KL etc etc. And there are quite a few of Indonesias too. Apart from the Swiss Cottage guy, okay let's stop referring him as the guy from SC, he's called Nuovo. Yeah apart from him there's also a girl from Medan, two girls from Jakarta then a few Indonesians who studied in Singapore too before this.
Hmm then.. The first person I made friend with during registrations is a girl from Hong Kong called Ada! She's a really nice girl(: then there is also this couple from Shanghai. They decided to come here to study together! How sweet is that? Haha. Her boyfriend is super quiet and she is like very chatty haha.
I think I haven't told you what I did this past week at the orientations? Well Monday was basically registrations, then the English Diagnostic (I found out that the purpose was to see everyone's level of English and then group you with people that have similar level of English as you, for the tutorials ), and then the tour around University of Melbourne and the different Trinity buildings. On Tuesday we attend introductory lectures of the subjects you want to take then Wednesday was subject-selection day.
We had our first lecture on Thursday. History Of Ideas. Damn boring I tell you. But then again it's history so what do you expect? Then in the afternoon we had information sessions on things like the Leeper Library, chaplain, counselling, green club or green team something like that etc etc. Friday morning we were given our student emails (mine is flojaya@trinity.unimelb.edu.au :D) and learn how to navigate around the student portal, told which computer labs on what building is open on weekends or weekdays and the password to enter those comp labs etc etc. In the afternoon we learned a few of the traditional Brazillian musical instruments and put up a performance for the Big Noise Event next Friday. We're doing some music/song whatever and then this guy from Malaysia is gonna b-dance HAHA. He's so cool okay! When we watched him breakdance, I saw many jaws dropped. LOL.
Okay. That's about it. Another thing.. The university is super huge and there are lots of small walkways and alleys those kinds! But you know the other day I successfully found my way from the campus on Lincoln Square North to the Melbourne Uni bookshop beside the Ballieu Library (I went in through the gate opposite the University Square on Grattan Street. I think it's Gate 10 or something) then back to the Trinity main campus on Royal Parade then to Union House without a map! Accomplishment! I'm truly proud of myself! I think it's the first day I survived without my map. Haha.
I might post the map of the university some other time. Meanwhile the post is getting too lengthy and it's midnight and I have to go to church tomorrow so I think I shall go to sleep. Maybe you can google 'map of Melbourne University' or something haha.
Tata!
P.S. I really need to do some shopping.
P.P.S My cousin tried my phone lock code for ten times and so the system resetted the phone and wiped everything clean! I lost EVERYTHING! My saved messages, contacts, photos, memos, data on password keeper EVERYTHING. I felt so pissed and upset and fed up and helpless that I cried. Silly maybe but I don't care. I'm very pissed. I had to start all over again like having a new phone but there's no way I can retrieve my contacts and saved messages cos I deleted all those in my old phone so I can't send everything again :( Why must this happened to me? T.T stupid lah!
